Ambulance Optimization
The Honduran Red Cross uses RTM and developed a strategic approach of ambulance allocation for the reduction of response times to serious violent crime incidents, with the goal of preventing homicides. RTM helps them achieve expedited on-scene times and patient care; more rapid transports of patients to care centers; and better turn-around times so ambulances can respond quickly to new calls for service. Sector-based standby locations were strategically selected by the risk terrain map and have been used by the Honduran Red Cross to efficiently allocate ambulances and save lives. Learn More
